El Primer Dia del Resto de Mi Vida - by La Oreja de Van Gogh

Okay - so the band's name translates to "The ear of Van Gogh". However...

I have not studied the English translation of this song, but it has to be a great tonic for the end of the week, which is officially occurring as I write.

And that Spanish female vocal is just the best sound.

A month ago the RAC (underwritten by AVIVA) insured my daughter to drive my car as a learner driver. Now that she's passed her test, I've just spent 20 minutes on the phone with the RAC to find that the same insurance company won't insure her to drive the same car.

I appreciate that his interview is a couple of years old but with the UK General Election 2015 (#ge2015) coming up I felt it was worth sharing this to remind people of the attitudes prevalent amongst some of our "betters".

I used to think Iain Duncan-Smith was a basically decent type but the more I hear from him the last few years the less highly I think of him. In this interview the interviewer is quite robust, but he does stay on track and exposes the duplicitousness in IDS's thinking.

Iain Duncan-Smith's Explosive Row With James O'Brien:-

Katy Perry is great. Great looking gal and fun pop songs and all that. But this girl, Andie Case and her boys do an amazing re-interpretation of the song that makes it more interesting and gives it some weight. The fact that she's extremely easy on the eyes does her her no harm, obviously, but I think she actually makes the song sound more like a proper song, rather than a slightly over-the-top bubble-gum pop anthem.

See what you think.

How irritatingly shit is this?
