This weekend marks two years since my father-in-law's wrestle with Parkinson's Disease came to an end.

As Serendipity would have it, a couple of days ago I chanced across this re-imagining of Steve Hackett's beautiful tune, "Spectral Mornings" and I note that the performers are donating the proceeds to Parkinsons UK.

They provide a link to the website where you can buy the charity EP. Here it is:-

Give or don't give. But enjoy.

I think James Corden has one of the best jobs in the world. He got to hang out and sing with Stevie Wonder. Check it out!

He seems like a really decent guy. And notice the English accent that pulls out of the bag.

I just have to grab and share this, for posterity's sake.

I loved the show but this is an appropriate reflexion on the way the show-makers finished the saga.

During the relentless push from Microsoft to undertake the "free" upgrade, take a moment to consider the various peripherals that might no longer be compatible or supported with Windows 10. An example, I discovered to my irritation, is my Canon Selphy printer. See Canon UK's really empathic response to my dismay:-

It hardly seems like six years since the closing of the book on the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica. The show has remained steadfast in my mind. I was enthralled by the sci-fi extravaganza, which seemed to re-invigorate a genre with its gritty "realism" and humanity tested out and shown at its best and worst.

The soundtrack music, composed by Bear McCreary (apparently that is a real name) lives on and for me it re-stirs the feelings I had about the stories and the characters struggling forward in their journey to find a new home.

Here is a re-worked compilation that I found of a number of the themes from the programme. I think it does the show justice.

I hope you enjoy it. I live to curate. Smile
