So that's a Big Up to the Electoral Massive... or is it?

Now the yoof term "respec" is acceptable fayre for the political discourse. Everyone is giving respect. Surely it's not another Labour initiative to cash in on the vernacular and try to weedle their way into the mind of popular culture?

More Spin, if you please, MC Blair.

Respect is due. But I doubt it will be forthcoming.

I think that respect is not usually something that can be requested or demanded. If this is the case they are usually not due. Respect is something that should be earned and given freely and then it is usually returned. Respect is not something this government is due, as it has consistently failed to live up to expectation and not delivered on promises given. They are not worthy of respect!

That the government is contemplating legislating for "respect" is just laughable. That the Queen went along with it without at least some uttering of contempt for the notion is disappointing. But hardly surprising.
